The award was initiated by Dr. Éva Bátori and established with the support of the festival’s founder, Ms. Yanli Grosse. It aims to create a bridge between outstanding young musicians and European higher music education.
Through this award, the festival seeks to strengthen its connection with its partner institution, the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Music, and to provide meaningful support and development opportunities for talented participants.
The University of Debrecen, Faculty of Music is located in Debrecen, Hungary, and is the music faculty of the University of Debrecen. With nearly fifty years of history, the faculty is dedicated to training musicians with strong artistic ability, solid theoretical knowledge, and a high level of musical understanding. It offers study programmes in areas such as classical performance, musical creativity, musicology, and music education, providing international students with the opportunity to receive professional music education in Europe.
1. An outstanding participant who, through this competition, receives the opportunity or recommendation to study at the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Music and is about to begin their studies there.
2. A current student of the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Music who demonstrates exceptional artistic achievement in the competition.
The recipient will be selected based on artistic performance, musical potential, stage presence, and the connection between the participant’s development and the educational profile of the partner institution.
The final decision will be made by the festival’s organizing committee and jury.
